It’s further proof of the decline in players going to land-based bingo halls. Buckingham Bingo have been around for years and Bucky Bingo, the online bingo version has also been around a while but there’s no denying the company have been suffering financial problems for a while now and now it’s up for sale.

Whether the club will find a buyer is yet to be seen, it’s a tumultuous time for the land based bingo industry as a whole and a quick look around some of the best online bingo sites will tell you why. Whereas online bingo used to be the domain of the young, an upsurge in over 50’s getting online has meant that many land-based bingo halls have few customers left.

Buckingham Bingo is currently owned by Barclays Ventures who have appointed KPMG corporate finance for advice on how best to sell the business. It leaves many in the industry wondering yet again just what the future is for land-based bingo clubs in a world that seems to be moving online.
